Document Generation and Google Workspace

When Keelstone generates a document — whether triggered from Excel, Word, or Google Workspace — the output file format is determined by the template:

  • A Word (.docx) template → generates a .docx file
  • An Excel (.xlsx) template → generates an .xlsx file (Pro only)
  • A PowerPoint (.pptx) template → generates a .pptx file (Pro only)

Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides users receive the same file formats as their Office equivalents. A Google Docs user who generates a proposal from a Word template will receive a .docx file — not a native Google Doc. This file is saved to Salesforce Files (and optionally to SharePoint on Pro).
